Semoon Chang's Brief Bio |
Dr. Chang is a professor of economics and director of the Center for Business & Economic Research at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Chang received his bachelor's degree from Seoul National University and his Ph.D. degree from Florida State University. He has authored or co-authored over fifty articles in academic journals, published six books, and prepared numerous economic studies for public and private sector organizations. In addition, he has assisted the United States as well as many private attorneys as an economic expert in more than 100 cases. Dr. Chang was president of the national Association for University Business & Economic Research (AUBER) in 1999; president of the Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA) also in 1999; president of the Planning Division for Human Services, United Way of Southwest Alabama during 1994 and 1995; president of the Homeless Coalition of Mobile for year 2000; and general chair of the Mobile United 2003. Currently, he is a panelist of the CESifo World Economic Survey.
