Semoon Chang's Brief Bio |
Currently, Dr. Chang is a professor of economics and director of the Center for Business & Economic Research at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Chang received his Ph.D. degree from Florida State University. He has authored or co-authored over fifty articles in academic journals and published six books. In addition, he has assisted the United States as well as many private attorneys as an economic expert in more than 100 cases. Dr. Chang has served as president of the national Association for University Business & Economic Research (AUBER); president of the Korea-America Economic Association (KAEA); president of the Planning Division for Human Services, United Way of Southwest Alabama; president of the Homeless Coalition of Mobile; and general chair of the Mobile United. He is a panelist of the CESifo World Economic Survey. Organizations that Dr. Chang has assisted include: Alabama State Docks Authority, City of Mobile, Volkert & Associates, ExxonMobil, Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce, Metric Engineering, Mobile County Commission, Mobile County Sheriff's Office, PBS&J, Roger Staubach Development, ThyssenKrupp USA, TORP LNG, and White-Spunner Construction.
